Carlis Lollie- Founder

Carlis Lollie was always an active participant in community projects since she began her collegiate career. She received her Bachelors of Communications at Texas Southern University in 2005. During her undergraduate years she served on the Debate Team, University Program Council and Ocean of Soul Marching band. It was through these organizations that she was able to host community fundraisers and various outreach programs that assisted the Third Ward community. She then became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, which is a non-profit fraternal organization for women that strived to serve the community. She was able to feed the homeless, provide clothing and meals for the holidays for the underserved. After receiving her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Texas Southern University, it became clear that she had a passion for helping others. She began working for Change Happens a non-profit 501(c)3 organization as a health educator going out into high-risk populations and educating women concerning various health conditions. Carlis went on to study Nursing at Texas Woman’s University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. It was during this time that she developed the Women’s Health & Fitness Expo. The Women’s Health & Fitness Expo is an event designed for women that offers fitness classes, nutrition workshops, complimentary health screenings and various health and wellness vendors. The Women’s Health & Fitness Expo is coordinated in Houston, Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago. Carlis is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she continues to serve not only women but mankind in general.
